Effective date: August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Relief Letters and the document writing service we provide. By purchasing or using our service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Relief Letters is a document writing service. We prepare personalized draft letters — specifically medical financial hardship letters and health insurance denial appeal letters — based on the information you provide to us. We help you put your situation into clear, organized words that hospitals and insurance companies understand.
We are not a law firm. We are not attorneys, medical providers, insurance advisors, or financial advisors. We do not provide legal, medical, or financial advice. Using our service does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing we deliver should be treated as legal advice. If your situation is complex or high-stakes, you should consult a qualified professional.
A well-written letter can improve your position, but it cannot force a decision. Hospitals, insurers, and other parties make their own determinations based on their own policies, applicable law, and the facts of your case.
We do not guarantee that any hospital will reduce or forgive a bill, that any charity care or financial assistance application will be approved, or that any insurance appeal will be granted. Charity care rules, appeal rights, deadlines, and eligibility vary by state, hospital type, and insurance plan. Results are not guaranteed.
You are responsible for:
Deadlines matter. We are not responsible for missed deadlines. You own your letter once it is delivered, and you decide whether and how to use it.
Prices are shown at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full payment card details. After payment and completion of your intake form, we prepare and deliver your letter by email within the timeframe stated on your order.
If we fail to deliver your letter within the timeframe stated on your order, you are entitled to a full refund. Because each letter is customized to the specific information you provide, letters are final once delivered and cannot be returned or refunded after delivery. If you believe there was an error in your letter based on the information you gave us, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to correct it.
You agree to use Relief Letters only for lawful purposes and only to prepare letters relating to your own genuine situation (or a situation you are authorized to act on). You agree not to provide false information, impersonate another person, or use the service to commit fraud.
Once delivered and paid for, the letter we prepare for you is yours to use for your own purposes. The Relief Letters name, website, design, and underlying materials remain our property and may not be copied or resold.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Relief Letters and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a denied application, denied appeal, missed deadline, or other outcome. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the letter giving rise to the claim.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as expressly stated in these Terms.
You agree to hold Relief Letters harmless from claims arising out of information you provided that was inaccurate or misleading, or from your use or submission of a letter.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law of your state of residence provides otherwise. Any dispute will be handled in the appropriate courts, and you and Relief Letters agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before pursuing formal action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
